Alone in the Music City
So, my fiance just left a little while ago. Let’s see, since then I’ve sulked a little, watched the last minute of the GA game, watched survivor, and now I’m updating my blog. She’s heading back to Charleston tomorrow but she’s breaking the trip up by dropping in on her family in Spartanburg, SC. It’s an 8 hour drive from Nashville to Charleston. Not exactly your Sunday drive…
So, I’m listening to some rough mixes from a few of the songs to get some background vocals developed to make some of the songs a little richer. It’s pretty cool… the next week is going to be fun just hanging out in the studio mixing the record. I can’t wait for everyone to hear this record. I know I keep saying that but it’s way cool.
Well, I think I might go read on the porch swing. I heard a lot of police last night. Sirens blaring and cars moving quickly down the East Nashville asphalt… pursuing the breaker of a law. The other night someone was shot a few blocks up. Did I mention that earlier?
