Day 11 - Tracking Complete

So, we’ve completed the tracking of the album. If you’re not sure what that is I’ll explain. When you record an individual instrument it’s called a track. So, we’ve completed the process of recording all the instruments. In a short explanation: we’ve recorded all the instruments.

Now we’re moving on to mixing. Mixing is a tedious process. This is where you make everything sound (instrument, voice, random saw in the background… not kidding) better individually and together. It’s wierd cause you have to know how to manipulate sound waves and frequencies. Speaking for frequencies… I’m thinking that would be a good name for a band. I think that’s what I’ll name my backing band if/when I tour with a band. As far as that’s concerned, this is a guy I want in my band:

That, ladies and gentlemen, is Kenny Hudson (and my left foot in the lower left-hand corner). He’s quite the multi-instrumentalist… he played banjo, mandolin, and pedal steel on the album.

I’ve been throwing around some names for the new album. I’m not going to say what I’m calling it until it’s final but right now we’ll name it 3. Because it’s my thrid album. That’s not the name of the album but I want to start calling it something other than “the album” or “the record” - let’s give it something a little more concrete.

Here are some ways i’ll use the code name:
“3 is coming along just fine.”
“My favorite track on 3 is blah blah blah blah”
“I hope 3 sells more than 3 copies.”

This is long enough. I’ll update again tomorrow.

Is that the Kenny Hutson formerly of Vigilantes of Love? I love Audible Sigh, and To the Roof of the Sky, and Fade to Black, he is AMAZING!

Speaking of frequencies being a cool name, what about the name Kenneth? Or you could even put them together, in the form of a question…
