It’s bigger than expected

yeah, I thought the master cheif replica helmet was going to be a little less obtrusive. It’s much bigger than I thought it would be and when Lauren saw it this morning she gave it a look… you know, the look that says, “Seriously my husband is that big of a nerd?” In which I communicated back by yawning since it was 7 AM and I hadn’t slept yet.

First impressions of Halo 3: amazing. Here’s a funny nerd story from last night.

First of all, I’m 27 years old and I was in line at 11 PM for a video game that was releasing at Midnight. Yes, I know I’m either a) pathetic or b) dedicated. Here’s a conversation I had with a high school kid last night:

Me (ending phone call with Chesley): I’ll see you online in a bit.
Kid (obviously listening to my conversation): Dude, you play on xbox live?
Me: Yes.
Kid: What’s your gamertag? We can play later tonight.
Me.: uh…. yeah, here it is…. CC BASEBALL 22

You remember that old trick that you used to pull on people you didn’t want to give your number to? You’d give them your friends number… yeah, I did that last night but in the nerdiest way possible… I gave him my friends gamertag.

No offense kid, but you’re probably the one who cusses me out for “sucking” when I’m on your team…

    no - the helmet is designed to fit around a rectangular base so it’s cut like a rectange. Secretly, I wish I had a rectangular head.
