Guitar Hero III
For those who didn’t know… I’m a big fan of Guitar Hero. I know, it’s probably a big shock but I’ll give you a second to regain your composure….
good? okay.
I didn’t purchase Guitar Hero III for multiple reasons… $100 for the new wireless controller (game included) isn’t exactly in the budget right now with other games releasing on the horizon (I’m looking at you Mass Effect). However, there are tons of games I want to play but don’t want to buy because it would be tons of cash. So, instead, I went to Blockbuster and got one of those fancy unlimited game rental passes for a month and I decided to start with Guitar Hero III.
Here’s my review of Guitar Hero III for those who care: It’s not as good as Guitar Hero II and I’m glad I didn’t buy it. Is it fun? Most of the time. Is it challenging? Yes and too much. The reason I play Guitar Hero isn’t because I want to be a perfect video game guitar player… I’m not going to spend more time trying to beat these songs than it would for me to actually learn the song on my guitar. I think I’m a snob now.
Anyway, maybe Rock Band will deliver and I’ll be forced to anger my wife with a huge video game purchase.
