Cloverfield; Brought to you by Dramamine.
Dear Camera Man from Cloverfield:
All I need is a five minute scene where you put the camera on a flat surface and talk about the monster, how you totally dropped the ball with that girl, or how you should probably not ride in helicopters. Just five minutes so I can regain my balance and finish out the movie strong. I wasn’t throwing up or anything but it was a bit disorienting.
That beings said, Cloverfield is really fun, and quite thrilling. My wife gets motion sickness if she walks the wrong way so she’s not going to see this movie. Mr. Cameraman, I will recommend this to all my friends that aren’t plagued by motion sickness or panic attacks (I’m looking at someone specific who had to leave early).
Thanks!
Jon Black
P.S. Tell J.J. Abrams not to mess up Star Trek. The internet will explode if he does.

thanks for the discretion, but it’s ok. pretty much everyone that knows me knows i have issues with scary movies and blood. i still get a little embarrassed, but there’s no making it go away. just wired that way i guess. what really sucks is that on top of being freaked the fuck out the whole time, i was totally motion sick within the first 3 minutes of the movie. nausea + terror = bad combo.
I am so woefully uninformed about new movies lately. My husband will probably have it on the sci fi channel (sometimes more about gore and/or screaming than sci fi, I think) when it is out of the theaters and released on video. LOL At least if I get dizzy that way, I can leave the room.
